people from all walks of life that have undergone rigorous, extensive
training in order that they can professionally assess your driving
skills.

Who is the driving examiner?
Answer ) The car that you have learned
to drive in, is the car that you will take your test in..

What car do I drive on my test?
Answer ) NO.
If you don't like the thought of being in the car on your own for the
first time with a stranger. Your instructor will sit in the back of the
car for the duration of the test. (Your instructor is not allowed to
communicate with you in any form whilst the test is in progress)

If I don't like the examiner can I ask for another one?
Answer ) Yes. The examiner is an
ordinary real life person, if you can hold conversation and drive as you
normally do then there is not a problem. Answer ) Senior
examiners occasionally sit in on tests to check the quality of
assessment of the test. The Senior examiner is looking at the other
examiner they will not be looking at you. This has been proved to be a
very effective way of ensuring the quality of the assessments given by
examiners.
